Earlier this month, I had the privilege of attending my third Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Financial Management conference, held this year in Naples, Florida. I made the trip because as Client Finance Director for Chandler Chicco Companies, I was eager to learn from the 500 procurement officers, marketing executives, agency finance professionals, and others stakeholders at the event. I have long felt that ANA conferences facilitate dialogue that matters for the PR industry, and that more PR firms should join in.
This year, the conference touched on many issues affecting our business, from managing conflicts to the agency selection briefing process (i.e., RFPs). The topic that caught my eye most was one I deal with every day: efficiencies.
