Raising the Bar in the Measurement World

Raising the Bar in the Measurement World

March 19, 2014 0 Comments

If you haven’t been following the outputs from the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC) last week, you may have missed “the best new thing in the measurement world.” CCC’s Marianne Eisenmann co-authored a paper with Julie O’Neil (Texas Christian University) and David Geddes (Geddes Analytics) entitled, “Assessing the Reliability Metrics Proposed as Standards for Traditional Media Analysis – Phase Two” which took home the conference’s Jackson Sharpe Award for the best co-authored academic/practitioner paper.

The paper presents the results of two years’ worth of testing on the reliability and validity of the proposed standards for media analysis, and proved that by using trained readers, a good code book and the standards that were proposed by the Institute for PR, you can get reliable results.

Chandler Chicco Companies’ research & analytics division, led by Marianne, has long been at the forefront of PR measurement. We’re dedicated to not only creating groundbreaking programs, but ensuring they yield measurable results.

Congratulations, Marianne!
